We do business the way we do EVERY SINGLE DAY because of the advocacy work being done by our members and staff in the nation’s capital, statehouses and city halls. Advocacy starts at the grassroots level as our members represent their individual sectors in our local communities. We are in our children’s schools, we are attending local fundraisers, we are talking to our mayors, county commissioners, we know our governors and our congressional delegates. As an association we must continue to positively affect public policy and create meaningful change at all levels of government.
The most relevant conversations are sometimes the most difficult—yet necessary. We have 1.4 million members, and no matter your background, where you come from or how you got here, we must empower all members to ensure that our association remains strong. We know no boundaries. Our influence is global and expanding every day. Whether we are leveraging technology, ensuring diversity in our committees and programs, reaching out to other countries and cultures, or supporting fair housing and property ownership right here at home – together we are stronger.
Our members are the heart of the association. As a real estate agent, I know what it means to list and sell property every day. As a Broker I understand the challenges our members face in their businesses. We must continuously grow and develop as an association to meet the needs of our members. We must elevate our members and focus on providing opportunities to maximize their economic prosperity, build communities and lead change.
